Description:The natural world is fascinating and mysterious in its wonder. Its annual cycle has no beginning and no end. It is a miraculous, ever-changing circle; centerless, yet with boundaries reaching far and wide. I find trees particularly powerful metaphors for the individual and for the couple. At times, we find strength reaching out and interacting with those near to us; at other times, we find strength in our solitude. I tried to capture this in this piece, depicting some trees huddled close together, and others more separated.
