Description:This third illumination from the artist’s “Heritage Ketubah” collection honors the Jewish community of Sarajevo, Bosnia, Herzegovina. It is based on the artist’s interpretation of an embroidered wall hanging dating from 19th century Sarajevo. This romantic composition draws the viewer back in time to when the Jewish community found shelter from the expulsion of 1492. This inspired design evokes romance, reflections of joy, celebration and the “sweet shelter” of marriage.
